Pannonian Climatic Stress Factors
Hungary's continental climate is characterized by significant thermal shifts—from severe winter frosts with ground freezing temperatures below -15°C to intense summer heatwaves reaching +38°C on the Great Hungarian Plain (Alföld). Conventional softwood and tropical timber deteriorate rapidly through checking, splitting, and rot under these conditions. Our co-extruded composite deck boards integrate modified high-density polyethylene (HDPE) matrices and dual-action thermal stabilizers, ensuring linear expansion indexes under 0.9 mm/m at 50°C delta.
